What's on in this world of film this Halloween? Terracotta is reaching out to the home viewing market, offering two scary DVDs for £6.66, and Sky will be premiering its remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but if you'd rather get out and about, here's a look at what's happening around the UK.

  • 28th - In The Mouth Of Madness at the Strand Arts Centre.
  • 30th - The Backwoods Halloween Horror Marathon: Coraline, Tucker & Dale Vs Evil, Evil Dead 2, Cabin In The Woods and The Wicker Man in the Black Box.

  • 29th - Halloween at The Mac.
  • 30th - Blade at The Artix in Bromsgrove.

In addition to this, there's the Hallowscream Film Festival at the Mockingbird, running from the 28th to the 31st and consisting of Ghostbusters, Scream, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Shaun Of The Dead, Interview With A Vampire, Poltergeist and The Exorcist.

The brand new Dead Of Night film festival is showing films in various venues across the city from the 29th to the 31st. It includes Under The Shadow, Creepy, The Shining, Scream and a mystery movie.

In addition to the above, Filmfear will be running at Home from the 27th to the 31st. Sponsored by Film4, it consists of Prevenge (with an Alice Lowe Q&A), Raw, We Are The Flesh, The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue, The Keep, Phantasm, Nosferatu. The Ghoul, The Void and Drácula.
