Dimitrije is a Serbian screenwriter who retired from the job of film critic in national high-circulation newspapers back in 2006. However, even as a screenwriter, Vojnov has remained a pundit on film-related subjects in the Serbian media ever since.
As a firm believer that film critic's retirement is as fragile as the decision of a Steven Seagal movie character to leave the violent past in the CIA behind and become a gardener, Vojnov breaks out of retirement once in a while when a specific film provokes him to impose some film criticism on it.
A graduate of Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Vojnov has participated in many conferences and tomes about film history, theory and other related issues.
