This Saturday, November 14, the ninth annual UK Festival of Zombie Culture will be held at Phoenix in Leicester. It will include 13 hours of films, a chance to meet zombie authors and an Arcade of the Dead full of retro zombie video games.

Films confirmed for the event include Maggie, Nightmare City, Me And My Mates Vs The Zombie Apocalypse, Cooties, and Darkest Day, which will be accompanied by a Q&A. Attendees will have the chance to vote for the sixth film from a shortlist of four.

Alongside the films and other entertainment there will be a bazaar full of zombie-themed merchandise, plus zombie-themed food and drink. Goodie bags will be handed out to early arrivals and there will be prize giveaways throughout the day. There will also be a prize for the best dressed zombie, with make-up artists available to help those who haven't been able to prepare themselves.

The event is organised by dedicated zombie collective Terror4Fun.
