Nick Stahl missing

Terminator 3 star has gone "off the grid".

by Jennie Kermode

"I live off the grid," he told viewers when playing John Connor in Terminator 3, but now Nick Stahl has disappeared for real. The actor, who reportedly has problems with alcohol and may have developed a drug habit, was last seen a week ago in the Skid Row district of Los Angeles. A missing persons report has now been formally filed by his wife, Rose Murphy, from whom he recently separated.

Since appearing in the Terminator film Stahl has worked extensively in television and has had smaller roles in some hit films, including Sin City. He has, however, had several altercations with the law. His agreement with Murphy requires him to submit to drug tests before he can visit their daughter.

Ironically, Stahl was chosen for the iconic role of John Connor after its previous occupant, Edward Furlong, was found unconscious due to a heroin overdose. Furlong suffered from ongoing problems with drugs and alcohol after his dramatic rise to fame at the age of just 15.
