Age Of Heroes star Sean Bean is being celebrated as a hero in his local pub after he survived a stabbing incident there on Sunday night. Bean, 52, was smoking outside the pub with 22 year old glamour model April Summers when she was approached by a stranger who made lewd comments about topless modelling work she had done in the past. After being challenged by Bean he left, but returned later and assaulted the actor, punching him repeatedly in the face and stabbing him in the arms with a piece of broken glass before the scuffle was brought to an end.
Bean was treated by bar staff with a first aid kit but refuted the suggestion that he should go to hospital, instead ordering another drink. The fate of his assailant is unclear.
