Photos from French Film Festival UK launch of Mobile Home and Asterix and Obelix

The French Film Festival kicked off its 20th edition in suitably fancy style, with not one but two opening galas. The director and leads from Belgian set Mobile Home attended the screening of their film at Edinburgh Filmhouse on November 8.

Then on November 9, it was time for Gallic favourites Asterix and Obelix to take centre stage. Astérix and Obélix In Britain scriptwriter Grégoire Vigneron (who previously adapted the delightful Little Nicholas) was on-hand at the champagne reception The Caledonian (A Waldorf Astoria Hotel), in Edinburgh, which featured a performance by acclaimed French singer-songwriter and pianist Jason Kouchak - who certainly knows how to work a crowd. Vignero later answered audience questions in a Q&A. Click on the images below for full size.
