The Arab Cinema Center announced the winners of the 10th annual edition of the Critics Awards for Arab Films yesterday on a Cannes beachfront.

Arab and Tarzan Nasser’s Once Upon A Time In Gaza, which premièred in Cannes last year took home the Best Feature Film prize.

Also among the award winners were Egyptian critic Tarek El-Shennawy and Turkish critic Alin Taşçıyan.

  • Best Screenplay: Palestine 36 by Annemarie Jacir
  • Best Director: Cherien Dabis for All That’s Left Of You
  • Best Actor: Adham Shukr for The Settlement
  • Best Actress: Deborah Christelle Naney for Promised Sky
  • Best Cinematography: Hélène Louvart for Palestine 36
  • Best Editing: Ameer Fakher Eldin for Yunan
  • Best Music: Suad Bushnaq for Yunan
  • Best Short Film: I’m Glad You’re Dead Now by Tawfeek Barhom
  • Best Documentary: The Lions By The River Tigris by Zaradasht Ahmed
