Who will surround Jane Campion, president of the 67th Cannes Film Festival's official competition jury? Now, as of this morning (28 April), all can be revealed - the New Zealand director, screenwriter and producer will have at her side five women and four men representing a wide international and cultural mix.

The jury will comprise director and Cannes regular Sofia Coppola with actor Willem Dafoe flying the Stars and Stripes, French actress Carole Bouquet, South Korean actress Do-yeon Jeon, Iranian actress Leila Hatami, actor Gael Garcia Bernal, Chinese director Zhangke Jia, and Danish director and another Cannes habitué Nicolas Winding Refn.

"Cannes has always sought to adopt a universal and international approach, and in tune with this tradition, Campion will be surrounded by eight luminaries of world cinema, from China, Korea, Denmark, Iran, the United States, France and Mexico," said Festival artistic director Thierry Frémaux in Paris this morning.

The Palme d'Or and other other prizes will be bestowed at the closing ceremony on Saturday 24 May. The Festival begins on Wednesday 14 May.
