Director signs four-year deal with studio.

Director Martin Scorsese has £5.2 million "first look" deal with Paramount Pictures.

The deal with Scorsese, 63, comes just months after the studio severed its ties with Tom Cruise.

Under the four-year deal, the studio will be given first refusal to back The Departed director's projects.
