Sinners has made the most impressive showing so far this awards season, attracting no fewer than 17 Critics Choice nominations. It's a particularly remarkable showing for a genre film, which until recently were routinely overlooked in mainstream awards ceremonies. The next closest contender is One Battle After Another, on 14, while Frankenstein and Hamnet have 11 each.
