Oppenheimer has swept through the OFCS Awards with eight wins in the major categories, but The Holdovers still scored two wins in the acting categories, now looking like a strong best for the biggest prizes of them all. It was a disappointing night for Poor Things, which had 11 nominations but not a single award, and Killers Of The Flower Moon, which, from the same starting point, got only one. That said, Lily Gladstone now looks as if they will be hard to beat.
Barbie's successes were largely relegated to the technical awards, but its Best Costume win is an interesting one, as historically this award, across a wide range of awards bodies, has only ever gone to period pieces. The plastic doll may have finally broken the mould.
