One Battle After Another is Golden Globes frontrunner

Sentimental Value and Sinners also enjoy success

There's an unusually open field at this year's Golden Globe awards, but Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another leads the nominations, announced yesterday, with nine. Close behind it is Sentimental Value, on 8, with Sinners on 7. Wicked: For Good continues to perform below expectations, missing out in the Best Comedy or Musical category despite the success of its predecessor.

The winners will receive their awards on 11 January at a ceremony in California's Beverly Hilton Hotel.
