My Father's Shadow leads BIFA race

Pillion and I Swear also among the front runners

Akinola Davies Jr.’s coming of age story My Father's Shadow has taken the lead in this year's BIFA nominations, with a total of 12. It's closely followed by Pillion, with 10, and I Swear, with 9.

The award for Best Ensemble Performance has already been given to Warfare and its stars D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Kit Connor, Finn Bennett, Joseph Quinn, Charles Melton. The rest of the awards will be presented at a ceremony in London on 16 January.
