by Jennie Kermode

Two months ago we brought you news of a worldwide search for the lost original print of much-loved film The Wicker Man. Today we have good news - the film, including 15 minutes of footage never befoe seen in cinems, has been found.

"I'm very pleased to announce that StudioCanal hhave been able to find an actual print of the film," said director Robin Hardy. "Thank you, all Wicker Man fans, for your help in the search."

The print is understood to have been found by original US distribution company Abraxas, the UK version having been physically cut up in order to make it a more convenient length for a double bill. It is now set to be restored for the blu-ray market and a possible cinematic release, celebrating the 40th anniversary of its production.
