Jim Poole Award winners announced

Watching nets annual award for short film

The Jim Poole Award, which celebrates excellence in short film was awarded to Erik Ferguson's Watching. The £500 audience award was won by Simon Dennis's Iota.

On the judging panel this year were Trainspotting star Ewen Bremner, film lecturer John Orr, daughter of the late Jim Poole, Genni Poole, Cameo manager Ian Hoey and Aberdeen's Belmont Cinema manager Pam Green.

The winner will receive £1000 and a pair of delegate passes to the Edinburgh International Film Festival and have their work shown in selected Picturehouse Cinemas throughout 2006.
