New York Film Festival has announced the main slate for its 62nd edition, which will run from September 27 to October 14.

While most of the films have had their world premieres elsewhere, those making a first bow at the event are NYFF Suburban Furly, directed by Robinson Devor, which offers a documentary consideration of presidential assassin Sara Jane Moore, and Julia Loktev’s My Undesirable Friends: Part I - Last Air in Moscow a factual film about independent journalism in Russia ahead of Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

A number of films will screen from Cannes, including David Cronenberg's The Shrouds, Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light, which won the Grand Prix, and Mohammad Rasoulof's The Seed Of The Sacred Fig. There are also several films from Berlin, including Mati Diop's Golden Bear winner Dahomey and Pepe by Nelson Carlos de los Santos Arias.

We're currently inputting details of the festival, so please check back soon.
