See the New Year in with Che

Special advance screenings on January 1 will let cinemagoers see both parts of Soderbergh's epic as a double bill.

On January 1, selected cinemas across the country are offering the chance to see both parts of Stephen Soderbergh’s epic biography of Che Guevara, starring Benicio Del Toro, as a double bill.

When asked about the film at the New York Film Festival press conference, Soderbergh said watching the two parts was the "ideal way to see it".

He added: "It’s a lot to ask someone to throw away an entire day but my only argument is that cinematically we’re making a demand of the audience that’s very similar to the demands that Che made of the people around him."

Che Part One, which chronicles the epic battles of the Cuban Revolution is released January 1st with Che Part Two released on February 20th.

The January 1st double bill, coinciding to the day with the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, will - according to distributor Optimum Releasing - be the only chance the public gets to see both films together in the UK.
