Festival Scope Sala Web returns with 13 world premieres

The long running Sala Web collaboration between Venice Film Festival and Festivalscope is continuing this year, with 13 short films - 12 of which are in competition - available to watch for free.

These world-premiere films from the Official Selection are available for simultaneous viewing during their official presentations at the Lido with limited capacity.

The selection this year offers a taste of global filmmaking, with shorts from countries including from the UK, Argentina, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, New Zealand, Nigeria, Sweden, Taiwan, Ukraine, and the US.

The selection will be available to view from August 28 at 5pm UK time until September 30, dependent on ticket availability.

The films in this year's line-up are:

  • Kushta Mayn, La Mia Costantinopoli By Nicolò Folin
  • The Lifeline (La Ligne De Vie) By Hugo Becker
  • Lion Rock By Nick Mayow And Prisca Bouchet
  • Merrimundi By Niles Attallah
  • Nedostupni/Unavailable By Kyrylo Zemlyanyi
  • Norheimsund By Ana A. Alpizar
  • El Origen Del Mundo/The Origin Of The World By Jazmin Lopez
  • Praying Mantis By Joe Hsieh, Yonfan
  • Rukeli By Alessandro Rak - Out Of Competition
  • Saint Siméon By Olubunmi Omolola Ogunsola
  • Utan Kelly (Without Kelly) By Lovisa Sirén
