Ratatouille
Ratatouille is the big cheese at Annies

Remy the Rat came out on top at the Annie Awards - and with nine gongs for Ratatouille it wasn't just a case of winning by a wisker.

The Pixar Animation story of a rat who becomes a gourmet chef with the help of a gangly kitchen boy, scampered off with best feature, best writing and directing for Brad Bird, best voice acting for Ian Holm, best character animation, music, storyboarding, and production design.

As if all that wasn't enough, the Pixar short film Your Friend The Rat - which is included as a DVD extra on the recently released DVD and Blu-ray discs - won best short subject, while the Ratatouille video game also came out on top of its category.

British studio, Aardman Animation, was also among the winners at the 35th annual animations awards event in LA, winning Best Animated Television Production for Creature Comforts America.
