The crime drama starring Adam Driver, Scarlet Johansson and Miles Teller joins the main competition and marks the sixth time Gray has premiere a film in Cannes. He was last at the festival in 2022, with Armageddon Time.

The adaptation of Annie Ernaux's autobiographical book features Valérie Dréville, Tess Barthélémy, Maïwène Barthélémy and Anna Mouglalis in the cast.
Also joining Un Certain Regard is Zachary Wigon’s gothic horror-thriller Victorian Psycho, which has Maika Monroe, Jason Isaacs, Thomasin McKenzie and and Ruth Wilson in the cast; and Konstantina Kotzamani's Titanic Ocean about a boarding school that teaches girls to be ' professional mermaids'.
Among the Special Screening additions is Christophe Honoré's family drama Orange Flavoured Wedding, it sees him collaborate again with his Winter Boy stars Vincent Lacoste and Paul Kircher, alongside Adele Exacharpoulos and Nadia Tereszkiewicz.
