Des came home from Australia because he was homesick, bought a pair of season tickets to bond with his father while watching football. It didn't work, and this is how it didn't work. Visually engaging, it seems at first nonsensical, but the antics of the figure on screen are made clear in time. It's compelling, intriguing, and brief. That's not a complaint: sometimes a game of two halves can be reduced to a single, deft, touch. This is film is similarly striking.
