Cliff Twemlow may not have produced the highest standard of cinema, but once you get know the work of this plucky Mancunian producer, it's hard not to fall in love with it. A one-man movie powerhouse., Twemlow strove to put Manchester on the filmmaking map. This collection celebrates his achievements.

  • Mancunian Man: The Legendary Life Of Cliff Twemlow - a detailed and thorough documentary on the filmmaker, directed by Jake West.
  • Tuxedo Warrior (Original Director's Cut) - the original version of a film which would re-emerge, with additional footage, in several different guises.
  • G.B.H. (Original Director's Cut) - a nightclub bouncer strives to see off a mob takeover of the club where he works, and finds time for a spot of romance. It seems odd today, but this was one of the original Video Nasties.
  • Target: Eve Island - the team has a go at making a Bond-style espionage thriller with, as it turned out, a real military coup in the background.
  • The Ibiza Connection - Twemlow's second attempt at international espionage chic.
  • The African Run - bits of Tuxedo Warrior plus some new footage and a few wildlife shots contrive to tell the story of a washed-up bar owner whose life is turned upside-down when a certain woman walks back into it. Also he has another girlfriend. Also there is a monkey, and some diamonds.
  • The Hitman (aka The Assassinator) - an hitman is unhappy after encountering a kid when doing his job, and his life begins to disintegrate.
  • G.B.H. 2 (aka Lethal Impact) - footage from the original G.B.H. plus some new material along the same lines as Twemlow shows off his muscles.
  • The Eye Of Satan - the team has a go at making a supernatural thriller, with a kidnap plot, a bit of Stockholm syndrome and a panther that was not as tame as had been claimed.
  • Firestar: First Contact - Manchester's finest take on their deadliest foe yet - in space! Notable for an appearance by the great Charles Gray.

These films are all being released at once - sadly, on digital only in the UK - having been lovingly restored by Severin Films. You will have to look them up individually to view them.
