Haunter is a film well suited to the small screen, but depends on a good transfer, as it use of visual contrasts takes us between dark but detailed sets and very bright ones. Fortunately that has been achieved here, though it's still going to look best on larger domestic screens where that detail can be properly appreciated.

Alongside the film, there's a making-of documentary which, whilst fairly standard in its scope, contain some nice insights from cast and crew. In particular, it focuses on the construction of the sets, something we rarely see much of but which Natali, with his background in art, makes central to all his work. His comments, technical but engaging, will appeal to horror fans and cineastes alike. Breslin, meanwhile, speaks with great enthusiasm about her work on the film and the connections she built with other cast members.
