With work spanning more than four decades, Jean Renoir - the son of impressionist painter Auguste - is widely regarded as one of the greatest French directors. Seven of his films are contained on this seven-disc collection released by Optimum Home Entertainment, including classics La Bete Humaine and La Grand Illusion.

We've taken this opportunity to take a look at some of the work on this excellent box set.
