What would you do if you turned up to work in a warehouse but no one was there? It happens to Maria (Victoria Johnston). Instead of a human resources meet-and-greet session, she opens the door to find a series of post-it instructions, but will she stay or go?

Simon Aitken’s short is big on quirks. Taking the simple idea of Post-it instructions and pushing it until he finds the humour of the situation. This short isn’t all light, however, there’s plenty of shade for you to think about, too.

There’s the implication of working in a sterile vacuum, in a place with no soul. Although here this is taken to its absurd extreme, most people will recall that feeling from one workplace or another. Plus there is something distinctly eerie about someone working in a huge warehouse with no one but a Post-it for company and Aitken’s camera expertly catches the contrast between the humour and the unsettling.
