Delilah and George

Three minutes doesn't seem like a lot of time to tell a story. But this film is handled in such a quirky way that it had me reaching for the rewind button to watch it again. Delilah and George are not in a relationship and this film tells us all about what they didn't do - to genuinely amusing effect. The script is excellent and while the idea is a bit of a one-trick pony the film is so short that the joke never out-stays it's welcome. Here's hoping Matt Smith scripts longer work in future.

The film was made for a Joy of 8 event in Bristol and shot on straight onto a roll of 8mm film. It received a commendation from Kodak - and rightly so.
