Lilo Ventura and Jean-Paul Belmondo in Classe Tous Risques
""

This beautifully restored print releaed by the BFI is presented in its original 1.66:1 ratio and looks as sharp as one of Jean-Paul Belmondo's outfits. It comes with an excellent essay about the film from John Patterson - an in depth piece intended to be read after the film - and a second, informative article about director Claude Sautet from Geoff Andrew.

The main extra on the disc is Monsieur Ventura - a look at the life of actor Lilo, with some of the great and good of France, including Charles Aznavor, Touchez Pas Au Grisbi Jacques Becker and screenwriting collaborator José Giovanni. It appears to have been edited to include scenes from Classe Tous Risques and although that film is not specifically mentioned, this gives a good grounding about Ventura's life and work. As the man himself says in a clip which is included: "I'm a child of the streets and it's a wonderful education."

The package is rounded out by a French trailer (notable for the way it introduces Ventura last) and a dubbed US trailer (notable for the way it emphasises the, post-Breathless hot property that was Belmondo).
