Toast

Toast

This short falls into the sketch dressed up as a film category, being essentially an extended joke.

A man gets up in the morning and, while making breakfast, discovers that his toast is popping up in a very odd place.

The production values are pretty low but the music is quite nice, although it’s hard to fully sympathise with a character who never speaks.

The biggest problem this short has, however, is that it is rather a one-trick pony and over-labours its joke. That said, the final pay-off is fun. It could have done with more content to better sustain its runtime.
