Paris: Trompe l'oeil

The clue to this interesting and twisty little short is in the title, which means "trick of the eye". Essentially, a celebration of vibrant city life - told through the eyes of its French residents who are interviewed about aspects of its culture, music life and general ambience - all is not quite as it first appears.

A clever idea, executed with style. This is one of a series of short films on Paris to celebrate 100 years of the entente cordiale shown on Channel 4's The Slot. Short but sweet and of the four of these that I've seen, my favourite.
