Okay, so Meet The Spartans sucked, Disaster Movie was, well, a disaster, but nothing can quite prepare you for 2008’s most shameful, vulgar and least funny movie – Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild. Director Todd Stephens’ follow up to the 2006 film, Another Gay Movie, which told the story of four gay guys making it their goal to lose their virginity before graduation.

This time around Andy, Nico, Jarod and Griff are off on spring break to the Miss Gay Gone Wild contest were, according to the participants, “It’s all about getting laid”. Once here, they all make it their aim to see who can get the most “buttlove” come the end of their stay, however, over the course of this vacation the four of them begin to question whether this casual sex lifestyle is really for them – oh, the moral dilemma.

Another Gay Sequel knows it’s ridiculous, but whether it realises just how far it crosses the boundaries of ridiculousness is certainly another question that needs to go to director and scriber Stephens. His script seems to play out every stereotype any gay male has ever had thrown at them, while the plot is highly unoriginal and far from cohesive.

The film has been tagged as the gay American Pie, however that tale of adolescent teenagers contained enough memorable jokes and even more memorable characters to satisfy many of us. Another Gay Sequel does not possess any of these redeeming features.

Worst film of the year? This offensive and juvenile garbage is certainly up there with some of the most disposable of 2008. While its leads are certainly having a blast unfortunately it’s difficult to conjure up the same enthusiasm for such rubbish.

Another gay outing for Stephens and his cast? God, I hope not.
