This disappointing sequel to 1997's entertaining creature feature retains the snake, but loses the charm.

Ex-Corrie star Matthew Marsden leads an anonymous bunch into the Bornean rainforest on a hunt for a rare orchid, which might be the elixir of life. After hiring a boat which seems to be held together by staples, they head upriver, only to be terrorised by unconvincing CGI at regular 10 minute intervals.

No aspect of the film exceeds adequacy, but it's certainly not dull.
