A Grande Love Story

A Grande Love Story

Short film is a great opportunity for young directors to cut their teeth, but sometimes the results can be disappointing. This film, unfortunately, fails raise itself above a student skitt. Scarlett (Carmen Pieraccini) and Rhett (Andre Dow) are lovers on a walk.

There are subtitles - clearly not supposed to be representing what they are saying, then there are bad American accents and dressing up costumes culminating in... well, not a lot really.

It's hard to see where this film was even trying to go and even harder to put yourself through the minutes it takes to get to wherever that is. The cast and crew may well be very talented but it's hard to see that on the strength of this. The idea may have looked good on paper but in practice it's not so Grande.
