The year's Japan Foundation Touring Festival concentrates on youth and on the importance of youth-focused narratives in Japanese cinema throughout its history. It includes films from a variety of genres, produced in very different styles. Special guests attending some of the screenings will include Keiichi Hara, Hitoshi Ohne and Mirai Moriyama.

The festival runs from 31 January to 27 March, starting in London and visiting Bristol, Belfast, Newcastle upon Tyne, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Dundee and Nottingham.
