Read Anton Bitel's film review of Whisky

The Making Of' documentary (27min) comprises behind-the-scenes footage, auditions and test readings of the three leads (including Andres Pazos reading for the role of Herman, eventually taken by Jorge Bolani), the first read-through of the script, a costume fitting for Marta, some improvisations and on-set goofing. This is hardly riveting stuff, but the improvisations are an amusing showcase of the leads' talent, while the surprisingly wordy test readings give an indication of just how much the screenplay's earlier drafts were pared down for the final version.

The so-called deleted scenes (10min) are for the most part multiple alternate takes of scenes that did ultimately end up in the film in one form or another. Funniest of all are the different (but equally vain) attempts by two waggish postal workers to penetrate Jacobo's humourlessness, but again none of this feels much like essential viewing.
