British director Pete Travis serves up an informative and interesting commentary to accompany his first Hollywood production. After showing his worth with the hard hitting drama Omagh, he talks in depth about his vision for the film - how seeing one story from numerous different points of view changes it. What we think we know may not be fact. Truth is in the eye of the beholder.

An extra piece of the plot puzzle is revealed when Travis tells each character's story. He reveals that his aim was to make it so "another piece of the onion unravels itself." However the logistics involved in cutting up this onion would make most directors cry. His dedication and skill is evident as he talks of telling the tale numerous times, plus having to film bombings, shootings and thrilling car chases.

He reveals how stuntmen, using hand-held cameras, bring the viewer action from inside his white knuckle car chase finale and how the action packed sequence is a homage to movies such as French Connection and The Bourne Supremacy. Surprisingly - and impressively - minimal CGI was used, although crowd numbers were boosted digitally - an impressive endeavour.

There are two documentaries: An Inside Perspective and Plotting An Assassination. Both - running 30minutes and 15minutes respectively – are fairly run-of-the-mill Behind The Scenes offerings, with interviews of cast and crew, an in depth look at the characters and how they represent the theme - they don't know what is going on any more than the viewer.

Surveillance Tapes is a small gag from Travis, lasting a few minutes. After glowing praise of his cast and how each was his first choice, naturally, he says there was one duff performance that had to be cut. The scene is shown and it's Travis entering a room and shooting unseen assailants. Cute! Nice to have a touch of humour after all the action and tension.

The disc boasts good sound options with four languages, subtitles in 16 and a choice of stereo, or surround sound.

Trailers for Hancock, 21 and Made Of Honour are also included.

Overall, not bad for extras, but the real highpoint is the commentary.
