A very small selection of extras accompany the film. The six-minute making of is a classic case of DVD fluff, not really saying anything about the making of the film besides the fact that everyone was a joy to work with. A surprising amount of time is spent talking about the horse wranglers, but I suppose they did a good job that is rarely recognised (this particular reviewer didn’t notice one equine mishap in the finished film, so great job, wranglers).

The second extra will be a treat for fans of practical special effects, as it details all the different techniques that went into creating the monster, from women in suits through to animatronics. No mention of the CGI, but I suppose a man sitting at a computer doesn’t make for compelling viewing. At just shy of five minutes in length, this is disappointingly short.
