Last Girl Standing is a powerful little film which will please slasher fans but also has enough going on upstairs to be worthy of serious viewing on multiple occasions. It's packaged here with a sizeable quantity of extras, beginning with the introduction from the Frightfest team that is now standard on all their releases. This is rather more exuberant than usual, which is not entirely in keeping with the tone of the film but rightly emphasises its importance as a contribution to the genre.

Also present here is a Behind the Scenes featurette, which is essentially a series of film clips of the filmmakers set to music, and not particularly informative. It segues neatly into the outtakes, which are similarly arranged. The move to digital has changed filmmaking in a lot of ways and one of them, evident here, is that on-set discipline has relaxed a great deal. If you're feeling emotionally drained after watching the film itself, watching the cast and crew piss about and screw up scenes because they can't stop laughing may in fact be just what you need.

If you're looking for something more serious, director Benjamin R Moody and producer Rachel Moody approach the audio commentary as an hour and a half long lesson in filmmaking, and there's lots here that will be useful to those in the early stages of their carers. There's lso an entertaining interview with Benjamin which communicates some of the passion its takes to make a film like this happen.

Finally, there's a collection of trailers for other Frightfest films coming out in the next few weeks, so you can get a taster of what there is to look forward to.
