The DVD release has been given a 16:9 anamorphic widescreen transfer, with an appropriately realistic feel to the picture that keeps with the idea of Kenny being a documentary. Audio options are available in either Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS, with optional English subtitles.

The audio commentary features Clayton Jacobson, the director, and Kenny. While this is actually Shane Jacobson, the commentary is delivered in character, so is essentially more of what we have already seen in the film. This is fun for a while, but the novelty factor does begin to wear off after a while.

Lifting The Lid is an enjoyable 20-minute featurette produced especially for the Region 2 release of the DVD. It follows Kenny on a trip to the UK to promote the film’s release, where he tours the country, meeting locals and fellow Australians, and attends the Reading Festival to check out the music and, inevitably, the toilet facilities.

Also included are 11 bonus scenes, which are a mixture of extended or deleted footage from the movie. In most cases it is understandable why they were cut, with much of the material being covered elsewhere in the film or on the audio commentary.

Completing the DVD are the original Australian and UK theatrical trailers.
