Elite Squad star Wagner Moura, who plays Lt Col Nascimento in the film, hits the nail on the head in the engaging making of documentary when he describes this sequel as "much more mature" than its predecessor.

Everything from the politics to the character development is more complex - and both the film's political and artistic intricacies are explored to good effect in this above-average 56-minute feature, which features all the main cast and crew. Several key scenes are discussed in detail - in particular, the impressive high-security prison scenes, which were shot in a specially constructed set.

The making of is a good mix of this sort of practical detailing and more cerebral considerations of the politics of Brazil and director Jose Padilha's motivations. It also paints a comprehensive portrait of the director as he is viewed by those he works with, making it well-worth watching. It should, however, be saved until after viewing the film itself, as many of the key scenes are analysed. The package is completed by the theatrical trailer.
