The DVD has been given a sharp, clear widescreen transfer, with a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix. There are no subtitles.

Of the extra features, the most interesting is a 25-minute Guardian interview with director Stevan Riley, Oxford coach Des Brackett, and boxers Chris Kavannagh and James Boyle, followed by a question and answer session with an audience. The most fascinating aspect of the interview is listening to Brackett talk about the film, what his job involves and what motivates him to coach. There are also six deleted scenes, including more footage of Kavannagh’s eccentric philosophy professor, and the final Varsity bouts are available in full. These are interesting to see in themselves (unedited and without a soundtrack), but also to compare to the versions seen in the final cut of the film. The final extra feature is a theatrical trailer.
