As well as Eye for Film, James has written for Film Ireland, Alternative Ulster and Paracinema. He has also contributed to Culture Northern Ireland, Eat My Brains, Cinefantastique and Little White Lies.
During his free time he likes nothing better than dimming the lights, curling up on the couch with a glass of red wine and watching old horror films. Luckily he was able to leave the Rioja well enough alone to embark on the writing of his first book, Dario Argento (Kamera Books) - buy it here
James likes films by Dario Argento, David Lynch, Abel Ferrara, Neil Jordan, Mario Bava, Val Lewton, David Cronenberg, Roger Corman, Alfred Hitchcock, Guillermo del Toro, Shane Meadows and Pedro Almodovar. Schlocky horror and B-movies are also a must for him. And sometimes even films with explosions and dinosaurs. And ALWAYS films starring Vincent Price.
