In the time it takes to walk to the gallows, Wes West's little film of marital disharmony can only hint at a deliciously dark comedy. The details lack clarity and conclusion, when the concept is pregnant with possibility.

The story, narrated by a voice-over, involves a husband and wife, who, after the first flowering of love's uncertain bloom, decide they are worth more to each other dead than alive.

What follows is attempted murder in sight bites, exposing the ineffectual techniques of amateurs. These could have been isolated gems of cack-handed absurdity, but are not, because West hasn't thought beyond the method to the source of failure.

Kind Hearts And Coronets this is not, but what can you do with a minute-and-a-half except set the scene and light the touch paper?
