Media in spotlight for Filmhouse season

Edinburgh cinema season focuses on films with a journalistic link

To celebrate the long affair between the media and the movies, website allmediascotland.com is hosting a special season of films about newshounds at the Edinburgh Filmhouse, in conjuntion with brewers Coors.

The season starts on May 6 with the classic noir, Sweet Smell of Success - the tale of a vicious gossip columnist, a desperately mbitious press agent and the destruction of an innocent love affair.

Other films to be shown are Network, The Paper, Welcome to Sarajevo, His Girl Friday and Shattered Glass - the final film - which screens on May 19.
