Cat voted cream of crop in movie poll

Puss in Boots voted top onscreen animal in magazine awards

by Amber Wilkinson

Puss in Boots proved he really is the cat's meow in a recent magazine poll.

Antonio Banderas' Shrek 2 character clawed his way to the top spot beating off Belleville Rendez-Vous' dog Bruno and the Walrus in 50 First Dates, according to a recent poll in Total Film magazine.

Editorial Consultant at Total Film Mark Dinning, said: "Puss in Boots romped home to victory in this category, whereas all of the other awards have been as close as the American election!

"It's clear from all of the emails that we have received that Puss in Boots has won the hearts of moviegoers across the country"
