There is some nice supplemental material: a brief look at the camaraderie that the girls share on set, plus an interview with Brashares about her inspiration for the book and its success, details of two further books and a hint about a fourth.

There are eight minutes of deleted scenes with an optional commentary by Kwapis, who provides interesting explanations as to why they were cut, they include the rough of the documentary that Tibby is shooting, while the lengthiest piece is a video commentary with the four girls. It would have been nice to have had a feature-length commentary from the director, given how informative he is in the deleted scenes, but one cannot be too greedy and all in all this is a neat and pleasant package and an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two.
