The Howling
""

Copy pictureNicely polished up for Blu-ray, this classic of Eighties horror cinema is accompanied here by an impressive collection of extras which will give fans plenty to get their teeth into. The quality is variable - producer Steven A Lane's opening monologue about the extended film series is sweet but hopelessly pedestrian, whilst the tour of the film's locations tries a bit too hard and would be funnier if it weren't persistently laughing at its own jokes. Mark Golblatt and Terence H Winkless both have intriguing insights to offer, however, and David Allen's contribution is both fascinating and sad; it will leave you wishing that more of his animated work had survived. Overall, the extras significantly enrich the experience of watching the film.
