Read Andrew Robertson's film review of Police Adjective

Copy pictureThis minimalist release from Artificial Eye is rather light on extras - containing just the trailer and a 14-minute interview with director Corneliu Porumboiu. The interview, although incredibly basic in set-up - and suffering from rather low sound levels - is a worthwhile addition. Porumbiou talks about his influences - Bresson's Pickpocket, Antonioni's Blow-Up - and the importance of character over scripting for him. It's particularly interesting to hear his philosophical take on those who don't like his film. The general presentation of the dics is fine, though unremarkable.
