The DVD is split in three; there is a trailer, a set of interviews from the key players, and a smattering of onset footage.

The interviews offer differing, but interesting, accounts of the filming process. Of particular note are Nesbitt and Neeson’s differing accounts of meeting some of the people involved in the real life events. The director’s interview is also fascinating. In it, he talks about his unfussy approach to the look of the movie, and the research he tries to do before each project. It’s an insight.

The onset footage is less revealing. There are a couple of minutes each of half a dozen or so of the film’s key scenes - including the extraordinary opening sequence, in which we see the killing. It’s always fun to see what is happening on the other side of the camera, but it doesn’t add up to much here.
