Ratchet And Clank
"Somewhere the plot hangs by a thread. All you have to do is find it. But you can't"

For a gamer this might work. All the elements are here - War of the Worlds scenario, Galaxy Rules, evil superugly in the black corner and a select squad of fighters-for-the-rightest in the white corner, U-certificate violence and recreational resurrection, plus a revision course in whizzbangology.

Animation buffs and film hogs who like a good story, preferably with jokes, will find The Ratchet & Clank Show so baffling they won't know what to think, except getmeouttahere!

Neighbouring planets are being blown to bits by Chairman Drek from an attack craft in space. His only excuse is that they exist and therefore deserve to be wiped. An Earth lookalike is next in line. The Galactic Rangers are ready to get stuck in, despite the fact that they are underequipped and understaffed against state-of-the-dark kill machines and a zombie alien army numbering infinity.

Ratchet is a squirrelly thing with an up-smiley attitude, a bit like Judy Hopps from Zootropolis, who wants nothing more than to become a Galactic Ranger and save the world (anyone's world). Clank is a mini robot thingy, inspired by WALL.E, programmed as a mechanic who goes off message to help Ratchet.

The battle commences and then commences again and then flips over and commences from the other side. The film is a loop, containing repetitive degrees of destruction. Somewhere the plot hangs by a thread. All you have to do is find it. But you can't.

The script is against you. Logic is against you. The ghost of Buzz Lightyear howls in the abyss. What is happening to sci-fi animation? Who's to blame?

Galaxy Rules.

What are they?

Anything you want them to be.

Thanks for nothing.
