The Shield - Series 1

By far the most substantial extras on these disks are the commentaries given by directors and various members of the cast. Commentaries can be interesting and informative, but unfortunately these are really too dry to impress all but the most die-hard of fans.

In terms of picture quality and sound, the disks are excellent and, since the content is slick and entertaining, they will make a neat addition to anyone's collection.
